The best image I could come up with for understanding a peacemaker is a jigsaw puzzle. We have all the pieces and they need to be put together. A peacemaker is one who works to put the pieces together so that the beautiful image that God has can be revealed. Those who can do this, are the children of God. Just like in the parable of the prodigal son. What is important to the father? that his household be together. His final act in the story is to work on reconciling the two sons. Let’s be peacemakers.
